Tip of the Week: No Cross Threaded Screws

Righty tighty, lefty loosey, right? Wrong. Change that to righty after a little bit of lefty. Let me explain. A common problem in RC is cross-threaded screws. This is when a screw gets tightened in crooked. This can lead to stripped out parts and hardware. To avoid this, turn the screw a half turn or so before starting tighten the screw down. It may sound odd, but this little move properly seats the screw. Try it. You immediately feel the screw fall into the proper position.
