We’re suckers for Tamiya trucks, so it’s of no surprise that the LandFreeder is right up our alley. This new truck features–in addition to an odd name–a Lexan ’80s style pickup body on the 4WD CC-01 chassis. This means the truck has independent front suspension and a solid rear axle with a 4-link suspension design. The CC-01 chassis is a tub style, but a close look reveals that it has some ladder frame style details molded in. It is also a great performer for light trail work and generally a lot of fun.
The LandFreeder is a kit and is said to be available this July. It will include Tamiya’s TEU-105BK speed control and a silver can brushed motor.
Oh, and it may not be a truck, but we’re also excited to see the Tamiya Novafox, which is an updated version of the old school FOX buggy.
