How cool! Gotta love them old Broncos! Boy all the Wraith hop ups really make me want one! I've tried several contests to win one, but haven't gotten lucky enough to take one home.

I'm thinking of getting a Clod too, but besides the looks, I haven't really got much info on what it can do or what type of terrain it excels in. Most forumers just talk bout mods.

I have a Kyosho Nitro Crusher (it's gears are mashed now) and 18 years ago, it was real fun to run. The O.S.21 RX-B engine is still mounted on the chasis, but not sure if it still works. The great thing bout the USA-1 is that it's chasis never broke down no matter which tree I hit, and I used to hit everything. Mistake I made was I put in the wrong gear and the steel clutch bell ripped the plastic gears apart.

Anyway, I'm wondering if the Clod will provide as much fun considering the scale of both are almost alike, except for the Clod being Electric.

Yup, this is essentially the same as the Wild Willy 2 and the same as the recent VW van version. I do recommend these trucks as part of a fleet. They make great driveway cruisers. And, wouldn't it be fun trying to race a field of wheelie machines?!

Sign me up for the light bar.....

The Magnum Transmission has given me next to no grief as far as breakage or high maintenance. I would say it's the most solid and durable 2wd transmission I've dealt with for over 10 years. I hope the bulletproof concept carries over here on pro-lines design. Less rotational mass should yield a good result, and hopefully equal or better durability.

(cough) wild willy2!! ... pardon??? Well as I've said in a previous comment about Tamiya's body swapping, this one (and the VW Van) is a good example. However, the chassis is proven for great fun and beginners and plus ... who doesn't like doing wheelies anyway?? :)

Note: I'll take the body for a different project though....

How did the electrics do in competition compared to the Gas models? As an electric loyalist I wouldn't really consider a 1/5th scale unless it was electric powered and my Savage Flux is an animal. I can only imagine how awesome this beast must be...can't wait to see for myself.

I was genuinely surprised at what a great charger this is for so little money! Having owned a number of Duratrax electronics and vehicles, I think they have a real winner on their hands with the Onyx. Plus thanks to the amazing warranty this is not your typical disposable charger...make some room, this one will be with you for a long time.

Thanks for reading Christopher.

I saw the words NEW and Tamiya and got excited. Anyone that know me and the work I do, I have a love affair for Tamiya cars and trucks.... 90% of my Garage are Tamiya....

The new XV-01 does look pretty cool, and I have to give Tamiya credit here on how current and up to date things are starting to look. The overall appearance and quality of tamiya plastics are getting better. The fact they have bench-marked an entire new chassis yet again proves that while they love slapping 150 different lexan bodies on the same 10 year old chassis they DO come out with new RC vehicles when you don't expect it. Not as much as some would like, but if it isn't broken, don't fix it.

Can't wait to see where this is going to go......
