Tip of the Week: 3/4/2012 Silica Gel Reuse

Silica gel packs are often included in the packaging of a lot RC components such as speed controls. The silica gel packs absorb moisture that can cause corrosion and damage components. Silica gel packs are famously labeled with warnings against eating them, so it’s unlikely you’ll pop them in your mouth, but you don’t need to toss them in the trash either. Take advantage of the silica gel pack’s ability to absorb moisture and drop one in your truck’s receiver box and throw a few in your tool box. When you get new one packs, replace the older ones.
