Tamiya Desert Fielder

Even though Tamiya doesn’t have an offering in the current short course field, technically you could give Tamiya credit for having the first short course trucks on the market. Tamiya offered three trucks on its TA-01/TA-02 chassis. The Toyota was a pre-runner and the Chevy S-10 was styled like a stadium truck or short course racer of the era. The Ford F-150 version was a desert racer (had a molded in spare tire as the giveaway) and is still offered today on the TA-02T chassis. Addint to the TA-02T lineup is the new Desert Fielder. The quick scoop is that this 4WD truck is shaft driven and features 4-wheel independent suspension.
