Tip of the Week: 10/7/2012 Clean Screws

It’s no mystery that dirt gets packed into the screws on the bottom of the chassis. Sometimes they are completely filled and there’s no way a screwdriver or hex driver can be inserted and sometimes there’s a little bit of debris that doesn’t allow the driver to properly seat in the screw and this can lead to a stripped screw head. For years I had the bad habit of grabbing my hobby knife and using the tip when I needed to clear out a screw head. The real solution is to pick up an inexpensive dental pick and keep it in your toolbox. This tool works much better.
