AJS Machine Off Road Trailer V2

AJS Machine announced a new version of its Off Road Trailer. V2 is machined with copious amount of cutouts in the side panels. The cutout in the CNC 6061 aluminum reduces weight but also adds a very different look from the original AJS Machine Trailer. The side panels can be backed with Lexan or wood. AJS Machine has also added some other nice touches such as mounting points for a spare tire and taillights (designed for Axial lights that are not included). The functioning tailgate has a recess for an included license plate decal.

The trailer is sold as a kit and Axial stub axles, bearings, hex hubs, wheels and 1.9 tires are needed to complete the trailer. AJS Machine states the axle design provides a 3″ of ground clearance. The trailer box inside dimensions are 2.25″ x 4″ x 6.5″. The end of trailer tongue is drilled and tapped for a 4-40 threaded rod, and the trailer is designed to work with the AJS Machine Hitch (item no. AJS3001), but may work with other manufacturer hitches.

  1. That’s a lot of CNC technology for an RC trailer, but couldn’t be more cool.

A little bit of a Debbie downer that you have to add the stub shafts and wheels and tires. Just my personal thoughts. Still cool though.

  2. I like it. Better to only need stub axles. Other trailers call for knucles bearings and stubs. And the aluminum will hold up to the abuse an off-road trail will see.
