You read that right; it’s a kit. Originally, we reported this as a GenRight edition. That isn’t 100% accurate. The kit (the original Twin Hammers was only available as a RTR) includes clear body pieces. But, it also includes GenRight decals, so you can create your own GenRight edition, if you like.
About GenRight, if you’re into full-size off-road, you may know the GenRight brand. GenRight, short for Genuine Ideas Engineered Right, is more of a hardcore company with a serious lineup of aftermarket parts for Jeeps. GenRight not only makes parts for off-roaders, they go off-road and do so in a hardcore fashion such as ripping it up at the King of the Hammers. So, it makes perfect sense that Vaterra hooked up with them.
The garage shot is of GenRight owner Tony Pellegrino posing with the new rig. It’s important to note that he is holding a RTR Twin Hammers dressed in the GenRight scheme. Behind Tony is his full-size race machine that he told RC Truck Stop is named Vengeance.
The Twin Hammers kit includes upgraded parts, such as Interco TSL SX Super Swamper Tires with Dual Stage Memory Foam inserts. Also included is a three-piece wheel design that has integrated weights inside the tire section for improved crawling performance. The optional sway bars front and rear (three rates each) are included, plus metal gears and metal hexes. The body panels are flat to allow people to run aftermarket LED light bars.
