Element RC, via Associated Electrics, has an updated 1/10-scale Enduro that is trail ready in two packages. Both versions of the new Trailwalker are RTR, but the combo includes a Reedy battery and charger.
The Stealth X transmission features the ability to adjust the rear drive ratio independently from the front drive. In stock configuration, the transmission overdrives the front end 5.7%. The parts to overdrive the front end 11.83% are included, but you can also go with a typical one-to-one drive ratio front-to-rear (not included with the RTR, however).
The Enduro features a chassis-mounted servo, but now has a behind the axle (BTA) front link setup for increased clearance and durability.
Reedy is called upon for power on the Enduro. A Reedy closed-endbell 16-turn, 5-slot brushed motor is connected to a Reedy Power SC400X speed controller. The transmitter is a 3-channel XP130 2.4 GHz radio and a Reedy Power high-torque 1320MG metal-gear servo takes car of steering.
The Endure uses licensed 1.55 in. General Grabber A/T X tires that are mounted on three-piece beadlock wheels. The 1.55 in. give a realistic look for the era body being used. They are roughly the scale equivalent of 15- or 16-inch wheels used on trucks back then. You see trucks running 19- or 22-inch wheels in the eighties.
In addition to the Lexan body, Element RC includes some nice molded details. The foldaway mirrors are especially cool.
