Don’t get me wrong, I get all excited for the big releases from the mainstream manufacturers in RC, but I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the little guys–the underdogs of RC. I love these alternative companies for the same reason many of us like alternative music–it’s different, refreshing, not the same old same old and often fills voids otherwise ignored. Now, I can’t exactly say sprint cars are ignored, but if you want a new one built on the latest chassis, you better have fairly deep pockets. That’s where Chuckworks RC and its CW-90 Sprint Conversion comes to the budget-friendly rescue. The kit runs a modest $120.
You get a lot for $120. You’ll need to supply a Traxxas Rustler, Bandit, Slash or even Stampede and the spring car wing of your choice (or run it wingless). The conversion kit includes body, hardware, chassis and cage.
