Team Corally Mammoth XP 2WD RTR Monster Truck

Corally is probably best known for its high-end, high-performance and race-winning on-road rides, but some racers also know they offer a pretty dialed 1/8-scale buggy. What you might not realize is Corally has a line of 1/10-scale off-roaders made for bashing. It’s latest release is a brushless version of its Mammoth monster truck. This truck features a narrow, raised chassis for increased ground clearance. This makes it similar in layout to touch such as the Traxxas Stampede and ECX Amp Crush.

Equipped with a Kuron 605 4-Pole 3500KV brushless motor, it’s the XP designation indicates it’s brushless powered. It can handle up to 3S. The brushed version carries a SP tag.

Corally states the chassis and suspension parts are made from a composite material called HiCC8 that has been formulated for Team Corally for strength and durability. Not everything is plastic on this truck, however. The Mammoth XP is equipped with steel drive and wheel shafts and a metal-gear transmission. To add even more drivetrain durability, the Mammoth has an adjustable slipper-clutch. Since this truck seems to beg for some abuse, it’s worth noting that the oversized 16 mm shocks are more than big enough to tackle rough terrain and big air.

The stock servo isn’t your average RTR steering servo that are often basically disposable. The Varioprop CR-7209 digital steering servo is water-resistant, high torque and features an aluminum housing for extra cooling, all-metal gears and ball bearings.
