From wheel spinnin’ drag racing to dirt slingin’ dirt oval, the ol’ Traxxas Slash is getting used for a lot more than backyard bashing and off-road racing these days. The latest twist on the Slash short course truck to grab our attention is a street stock body from Shark RC Bodies called the Joker. The Joker design is based off full-size street stock class cars where the nose, hood, roof remain stock appearing, but the sides are flat like a sheetmetal door. The body is made out of .060 in thick Lexan, which is thicker than typical used for RC bodies. This should, of course, help the body survive the fender-to-fender, rubbing’ is racing action that is drawing drivers to dirt ovals all across the country.
Shark RC Bodies promises a lot of turn in with this body, so the handling should match the aggressive looks.
Two other street stock bodies are offered, the Villian and the Hat Trick. All three of the street stock bodies are 12 in. wide and will fit most short course trucks such as the Traxxas Slash and Team Associated and Losi SCT platforms. The bodies come clear, but pre-painted white and black versions are available. These monochromatic shells are perfect for vinyl wraps. Headlight and grill decal sheets are sold separately, and Shark RC Bodies also sells an interior decking piece and a rear spoiler.
