Do Mercedes Make a Pickup Truck?

Mercedes-Benz has been a dominant force in the automotive industry since the late 1800s, when they began producing luxury and performance vehicles. The company’s iconic three-pointed star logo is one of the most recognizable symbols in the world, and their vehicles are some of the most sought after.

But one segment that Mercedes-Benz has never entered is pickup trucks. So, do Mercedes make a pickup truck?

The answer is no – Mercedes does not currently produce any pickup trucks for sale. However, that hasn’t always been the case.

In fact, from 1975 to 1996, Mercedes produced a line of light commercial vehicles known as the LN Series. These pickup trucks were designed primarily for commercial use and featured four-cylinder diesel engines and simple cabins with minimal amenities. While these pickups were functional and reliable, they weren’t particularly popular with consumers due to their outdated design and lack of features compared to other pickups on the market at the time.

In recent years, Mercedes has made several attempts to enter the pickup truck market with new models. In 2008, they unveiled their X-Class concept truck at an auto show in Barcelona.

The X-Class was a mid-size luxury pickup that featured an all-aluminum body and luxurious interior appointments similar to those found in Mercedes’ passenger cars. Unfortunately, despite its promising design, it failed to make it into production due to financial issues within the company at the time.

Despite these failed attempts at producing a pickup truck model in recent years, there have been rumors that Mercedes may be looking into developing one again in 2021 or 2022. If this does happen, it’s likely that it will be a high-end luxury model aimed at affluent customers who are willing to pay for luxury features such as leather interior appointments and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

It remains to be seen whether or not Mercedes will finally succeed in entering the pickup truck market with an all-new model anytime soon. While there have been several attempts over the years, none have made it into production yet – leaving us wondering if we’ll ever see a Mercedes-branded pickup truck gracing our roads anytime soon.

To conclude: Do Mercedes make a pickup truck? No – while there have been many attempts over the years by Mercedes to enter this segment of vehicles none have been successful yet so currently no pickups are being made by them!
