Does Audi Have a Pickup Truck?

The Audi brand is well-known for its sleek and stylish luxury vehicles, but a pickup truck isn’t typically something that comes to mind when thinking of the luxury carmaker. So, does Audi have a pickup truck?

The answer is both yes and no. While Audi doesn’t produce a pickup truck of its own, it did produce one in collaboration with Volkswagen in 2014. This was the result of a joint venture between the two automakers, resulting in the Volkswagen Amarok. This pickup was based on the Audi Q7 SUV, and featured many of the same styling cues as Audi’s vehicles.

The Amarok was a success in Europe, where it was produced for several years before being discontinued in 2019. It featured a powerful 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine that could produce up to 221 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. It also had an impressive towing capacity of up to 7,716 lbs., making it capable of hauling large payloads with ease.

Despite its success in Europe, the Amarok never made it to North America due to its high cost and emissions regulations that would have been difficult to comply with. So while Audi does have some experience with producing pickup trucks, they are not currently available on the market today.

In conclusion, while Audi did produce a pickup truck in collaboration with Volkswagen back in 2014, they are not currently producing any pickups today and do not have any plans to do so in the near future.
