Ford Motor Company and Harley-Davidson have had a long-standing relationship that dates back to the early 2000s. In 2003, Ford and Harley-Davidson announced a partnership that would create a limited-edition F-150 pickup truck with the Harley Davidson logo emblazoned on the hood. This special edition truck was released in 2004 and it quickly became one of the most sought after vehicles on the market.
The unique design of this truck was based off of the classic Harley Davidson motorcycles with its aggressive styling, blacked out trim, and signature orange paint job. It also featured Harley Davidson’s signature “bar and shield” logo on both sides of the pickup bed as well as on the tailgate. The interior was also customized with special Harley Davidson leather seats, floor mats, and door panels.
The truck was powered by a 5.4 liter V8 engine producing 300 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque. It was offered in both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations with either an automatic or manual transmission. The base model had an MSRP of $31,000 while fully loaded models could cost upwards of $41,000.
Unfortunately for fans of this special pickup, Ford stopped production in 2006 after only two years on the market due to declining sales. Since then there have been rumors that Ford may bring back this iconic vehicle but those rumors have yet to be confirmed by either company.
