Does GMC Make a Small Pickup Truck?

General Motor Corporation has been producing trucks for nearly a century. Over the years, they have diversified their lineup to include full-sized pickup trucks, mid-sized pickup trucks, heavy-duty pickup trucks, and more. But does GMC make a small pickup truck?

The answer is no; GMC does not currently produce a small pickup truck. However, that doesn’t mean that GMC hasn’t been in the small truck market in the past.

GMC produced the Sonoma from 1982-2004 and the Syclone from 1991-1993. The Sonoma was a compact pickup truck, while the Syclone was a performance version of the Sonoma with a turbocharged V6 engine.

GMC also produced its own version of the Chevrolet S-10 from 1994 to 2004 called the GMC S-15/S-15 Jimmy. The S-15 Jimmy was similar to its Chevrolet counterpart but featured some unique styling elements such as an angular grille and more aggressive body lines. It also had more power than its Chevrolet counterpart thanks to its larger engine options.

In addition to these models, GMC has produced other small pickups in the past such as the Canyon (2004–2012) and Colorado (2004–2012). These two models were based on midsize platforms but were smaller than GMC’s full-sized pickups like the Sierra and Silverado.

Currently, however, GMC does not produce any small pickup trucks. While there have been rumors that GMC could be reintroducing a small pickup in the future, nothing has been officially announced yet.

So while it is true that GMC doesn’t make a small pickup truck at this time, they have had success with compact pickups in the past and could very well do so again in the future. Until then though, anyone looking for a smaller truck will have to look elsewhere for their vehicle of choice.

Conclusion: In conclusion, General Motors Corporation does not currently make a small pickup truck; however they have had success with compact pickups in years past and could very well do so again in the future. Until then though, those looking for a smaller truck will need to look elsewhere for their vehicle of choice.
