Does Saturn Make a Pickup Truck?

Saturn has been a popular car maker since its introduction in the early 1990’s. While the company is known mainly for its small, fuel-efficient cars, they have also dabbled in the pickup truck market.

So, does Saturn make a pickup truck? The answer is yes, they did.

Saturn made two generations of pickup trucks, the S-Series and L-Series. The S-Series was produced from 1991 to 2002 and was based on the GMC Sonoma and Chevrolet S-10. It was available in regular cab, extended cab and crew cab configurations with several engine options including a 2.2L I4, a 2.2L I4 turbocharged engine and a 3.0L V6 engine.

The L-Series was manufactured from 2000 to 2004 and was based on the Opel Vectra C platform from Europe. It had two different body styles; a sedan and wagon variant with several engine options including a 2.2L I4 turbocharged engine, a 3.0L V6 engine as well as an optional 5-speed manual transmission or 4-speed automatic transmission.

The Saturn pickups were not exactly well received by consumers or automotive critics alike due to their lack of power and performance compared to other trucks in their class at that time. They were also considered to be too expensive for what they offered in terms of features and capabilities.

Conclusion:

Yes, Saturn did make pickup trucks but they were not very successful due to their lack of power and performance compared to other trucks in their class as well as their high price tag for what they offered.
