Is Cadillac Going to Make a Pickup Truck?

Cadillac, a luxury brand that has been operating for over a hundred years, has been known for its high-end vehicles. But recently, the company has been considering introducing a pickup truck to its lineup. This is an interesting move, as Cadillac is usually associated with luxury cars and SUVs, not pickups.

The idea of Cadillac making a pickup truck isn’t entirely new. Back in 2015, the automaker unveiled the Escalade EXT concept vehicle – which was essentially a pickup truck based off of its popular Escalade SUV. The concept generated a lot of interest from the public but unfortunately never made it to production.

Now however, Cadillac appears to be seriously considering introducing a pickup truck into its lineup. The company recently filed for trademarks on “Cadillac XT6” and “Cadillac XT7” – which suggests that they may be planning to launch two different models of pickups.

What would make Cadillac’s pickups stand out from the competition? Well, it’s likely that they will feature some of the same luxury features as their other vehicles. The interior might be designed with leather seats and wood trim, while exterior design cues could draw inspiration from their current SUVs and sedans.

In addition to luxury features, there will also need to be plenty of power under the hood. Cadillac already offers powerful engines in their SUVs and cars so this shouldn’t be too much of an issue. It’s likely that they will offer several engine options ranging from V6s to V8s.

So is Cadillac going to make a pickup truck?

At this point it isn’t certain if Cadillac will make a pickup truck or not, but all signs point to them seriously considering it. If they do decide to go ahead with their plans then we can expect some luxurious yet powerful vehicles that could shake up the market.
