Is Tesla Coming Out With a Pickup Truck?

Rumors have been circulating for years that electric car maker Tesla is planning to launch a pickup truck. The company has long been one of the most innovative and forward-thinking car makers in the industry, and a pickup truck would be a logical next step in their evolution. If they do indeed come out with a pickup, it could provide an entirely new level of performance and capability.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been teasing such a vehicle for some time, even going so far as to reveal some details about it in his 2017 Master Plan. In that plan, he proposed the idea of an electric vehicle with “dual motor all-wheel drive,” which would be perfect for towing and off-roading. He also mentioned the possibility of having “compressed air suspension” that could adjust the ride height for different terrain.

The company has yet to officially announce any plans for such a vehicle, but there have been reports from industry insiders that Tesla is indeed working on one. In 2018, Musk himself confirmed that this was true when he tweeted “Tesla Pickup Truck will be ready in 18-24 months.”

If Tesla does indeed come out with a pickup truck, it will no doubt be revolutionary. It will likely feature all-electric powertrains capable of incredible performance and range, as well as advanced autonomous driving features. It could even feature revolutionary designs like an enclosed cargo bed or even an open bed.

Conclusion:

It is clear that Tesla is seriously considering releasing a pickup truck in the near future. If they do so, it could revolutionize the pickup market with its advanced electric powertrain and innovative design features. It remains to be seen when or if such a vehicle will actually come to market, but it seems like only a matter of time before we see what Tesla has up its sleeve.
