Is the Tesla Pickup Truck Out?

Tesla Motors, the electric carmaker led by CEO Elon Musk, has been teasing the idea of a pickup truck for years now. In 2018, Musk promised that the Tesla Pickup would be unveiled in 2019.

However, it has been almost two years since then and no pickup truck has seen the light of day. So, what’s going on? Is the Tesla Pickup Truck out?

The short answer is no. Despite Musk’s promise of a 2019 unveiling, there is still no sign of a Tesla Pickup Truck being released anytime soon. This isn’t all that surprising considering that Tesla has had their hands full with other projects such as their Model 3 production and new factories being built around the world.

Tesla’s focus on other projects has meant that the long-awaited pickup truck has taken a backseat and been overshadowed by more pressing matters. This is further evidenced by Musk’s recent comments about the pickup truck being “on the back burner for now” and that it “might come out after we have scaled up Model Y production”

In addition to this, Tesla also seems to be shifting their focus away from pickups and towards SUVs such as their upcoming Cybertruck and Model Y crossover SUV. This shift in focus could mean that Tesla is prioritizing more popular vehicles over pickups which have traditionally not been as popular in the US market.

All this said, it is clear that Tesla Motors still intends to eventually release a pickup truck at some point down the line. However, with all of their other projects taking precedence right now, it could be some time before we see a Tesla Pickup on our streets.

Conclusion:

No, The Tesla Pickup Truck is not out yet despite CEO Elon Musk’s promise of its release in 2019. With all of their other projects taking precedence right now, it could be some time before we see a Tesla Pickup on our streets.
