What Happened to RC Car in Toy Story?

Toy Story, the first feature-length film from Pixar Animation Studios, was released in 1995 and quickly became a beloved classic. The movie follows the adventures of a group of toys, including Woody the cowboy, Buzz Lightyear, and RC Car. RC Car is an electric remote-controlled car that belongs to Andy, the boy who owns all of the toys.

Throughout the film, Woody and Buzz enlist RC Car’s help in their various adventures. In one scene, they use him to travel through a ventilation shaft to try to rescue Woody’s hat from Sid’s room.

Later on, when Andy’s mom mistakenly throws out Woody and Buzz with the trash, they use RC Car to escape from the dumpster and return home safely.

Unfortunately, after Andy moves away at the end of Toy Story 3, RC Car is left behind in his bedroom with all of his other toys. We don’t know for sure what happened to him after that point — it’s possible that he was donated or given away to another child who might have enjoyed playing with him — but we can assume that he was eventually discarded since Andy never returned for him.

Conclusion:

Although we don’t know what happened to RC Car after Toy Story 3 ended, it’s likely that he was eventually discarded since Andy never returned for him. Despite this sad ending for RC Car, his contributions during the movie were invaluable and will always be remembered as part of this timeless classic.
