What Happened to the Destroyer Monster Truck?

The Destroyer Monster Truck was a fan favorite in the motor sports industry from the early 2000s to the mid 2010s. It was created by Gary Porter, and it quickly became one of the most popular monster trucks in existence. It was known for its large size, wild stunts, and signature style.

The Destroyer had numerous successes throughout its career. It won multiple championships and awards, including the Monster Jam World Finals Racing Championship in 2009.

It also appeared in numerous television shows and movies, such as Nitro Circus and The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift. Along with its successes on the track, it also gained a devoted fan base that followed its every move.

Unfortunately, as quickly as it arrived on the scene, The Destroyer disappeared just as fast. After Gary Porter retired from racing in 2013, he sold off his garage of trucks that included The Destroyer to another driver. This driver then sold all of his trucks to a monster truck museum where they remain today.

Since then, there have been no signs of The Destroyer returning to the track or appearing on television shows or movies either. It seems that this once-popular monster truck has been relegated to a museum exhibit where only die-hard fans can admire it these days.

What Happened to the Destroyer Monster Truck?

The Destroyer Monster Truck enjoyed tremendous success during its tenure but has since faded into obscurity since 2013 when its creator retired from racing and sold off all his trucks to a monster truck museum where they remain today. While fans may still get a chance to see it at the museum exhibit or online videos, it is unlikely that we will be seeing this legendary truck back on the track anytime soon.
