What Kind of Pickup Truck Does Hank Hill Drive?

Hank Hill is one of the most beloved characters from the classic television show, King of the Hill. He is a simple, hardworking, propane-selling man from Texas who loves his family and his neighbors.

Throughout the long-running series, Hank has been seen driving a variety of vehicles; however, one of his most iconic is his pickup truck. It’s not just any pickup truck though — it’s a 1995 Dodge Ram 1500.

The 1995 Dodge Ram 1500

Hank Hill’s truck is a 1995 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab Short Bed. The 1995 model year was the first year that Dodge offered this model with a quad cab configuration, which gives it an extended cab with two rows of seating. This particular model features 4-wheel drive, power windows and locks, air conditioning and cruise control — all amenities that Hank would appreciate for his daily drives around Arlen.

The Iconic Look

Hank’s truck has an iconic look that many fans recognize immediately. It is painted in a light blue color with black trim around the windows and bumpers.

On top sits a chrome roll bar and chrome steps on either side making it easier to get into and out of the cab. The vehicle also features chrome wheels as well as old-school mud flaps with ‘Dodge’ printed in large letters.
