Who Still Makes a Two-Door Pickup Truck?

Two-door pickup trucks used to be a staple of American automotive culture. From the 1950s to the early 2000s, two-door pickups were commonplace on highways and in driveways across the country.

While other pickups have become more popular in recent years, two-door models remain available.

The most recognizable two-door pickup is likely the Ford Ranger. The Ranger has been produced since 1983 and is one of the longest-running models of its kind.

The Ranger offers a wide range of trim packages and powertrains, giving it a great deal of customization options for buyers.

Toyota also produces a two-door pickup truck, the Tacoma. The Tacoma was first introduced in 1995 and has been consistently updated over the years to keep up with market trends. The Tacoma is known for its reliability and off-road capabilities, making it a great choice for those who want an adventure vehicle.

Jeep offers two different two-door pickups: The Gladiator and Scrambler. The Gladiator is Jeep’s larger model, offering seating for up to five people and a range of powertrain choices. The Scrambler is the smaller option, seating just four people but offering plenty of off-road capability.

Dodge also makes a two-door pickup truck called the Dakota. Available since 1987, the Dakota has been regularly updated to keep up with current trends in trucking technology. It’s known for its performance capabilities as well as its interior comfort.

Chevrolet produces a two-door model called the Colorado ZR2 Bison. This model was designed specifically for off-roading with an increased ground clearance and rugged exterior styling.

Honda, too, produces a two-door pickup truck called the Ridgeline RTL-E AWD which features all wheel drive as well as modern interior features.

Though not nearly as ubiquitous as they once were, there are still plenty of options when it comes to two door pickups from major automakers like Ford, Toyota, Dodge, Chevrolet, Jeep, Honda and more.
