Do Vauxhall Make a Pickup Truck?

Vauxhall is a British car manufacturer that has been around for over a century, and it has an extensive range of vehicles in its lineup. It is well-known for its hatchbacks, saloons and SUVs, but does Vauxhall also make a pickup truck?

The short answer is no. Vauxhall has never produced a pickup truck, and there are currently no plans to do so in the near future. The company’s focus has always been on producing cars that are stylish and economical, rather than utility vehicles like pickup trucks.

That said, while Vauxhall may not have made a pickup truck of its own, the company does have some experience in this area. Back in 2006, Vauxhall collaborated with General Motors to create the Chevy Colorado/Isuzu i-Series. This was a joint venture between the two companies which saw the creation of a mid-size pickup truck based on the Chevy Colorado.

The Chevy Colorado/Isuzu i-Series was sold as an SUV-pickup hybrid with the option of either two or four doors. It was powered by either a 2.8 or 3.5 liter engine and featured an interior design that was very similar to Vauxhall’s other passenger cars. The vehicle was reasonably successful and remained in production until 2012.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, while Vauxhall may have had some experience with producing pickups back in 2006 through its joint venture with General Motors, it has never produced one on its own and there are currently no plans to do so in the near future.
