What Is the LEGO Pickup Truck Based On?

The LEGO Pickup Truck is one of the oldest and most beloved LEGO sets in the world. It is a classic set that has been around for decades and remains popular with both adults and children alike.

The set consists of 486 pieces, including a pickup truck, trailer, and other accessories. It is designed for ages 6+ and requires a medium level of building skill. The truck itself measures over 5” high, 11” long and 7” wide.

The LEGO Pickup Truck is based on the Ford F-150 pickup truck. The F-150 has been in production since 1948 and was the first generation of Ford’s full-size pickup trucks.

Since then, it has become one of the most popular vehicles in North America. The LEGO version features many of the same details as its real-life counterpart, including a flatbed with drop sides, fender flares, grille guard, side steps, and even a realistic exhaust system.

The LEGO Truck also features several functional features such as a working steering wheel with turning tires and functional doors that open to reveal an interior with two seats. The trailer can be attached to the back of the truck using clips which can also be used to secure items like camping gear or tools. The set also includes several minifigures; two male drivers, one female driver and two kids.
