Who Did the First Monster Truck Front Flip?

Monster truck flipping is one of the most exciting stunts in motorsports. The monster trucks of today are bigger and more powerful than ever before, and the tricks they can do have become more daring and spectacular. But who was the first driver to ever attempt a monster truck front flip?

The answer is Canadian freestyle motocross rider and stuntman, Cam McQueen. McQueen was a pioneer in extreme stunts, having already achieved numerous world records for his motorcycle jumps and tricks. In 2012, he decided to take on the challenge of pulling off a monster truck front flip – something that had never been done before.

McQueen chose an 8,000-pound heavily modified Ford F-250 as his stunt vehicle. He also employed a team of technicians to help him prepare for the stunt, including an experienced stunt coordinator and multiple engineers who helped him design a custom ramp for the jump. On August 27th, 2012 – after months of preparation – McQueen finally attempted his monster truck front flip at the California State Fair.

The attempt was a success! After reaching speeds of 85 mph and launching off a custom-made ramp at 35 feet in the air, McQueen successfully completed two consecutive flips in his Ford F-250 Monster Truck. The crowd erupted with excitement as he landed safely on all four wheels.
