When Did Cadillac Make a Pickup Truck?

Cadillac is a luxury car brand that has been around since 1902. The brand has gone through many changes over the years, including creating a pickup truck.

Cadillac first released their pickup truck in the mid-1920s, when they released the Series 314 truck. This was followed by the Series 355 in 1927 and the Series 370 in 1930. These early trucks were mostly used for commercial purposes, such as hauling goods and building supplies.

In 1934, Cadillac released their first passenger pickup truck. This was the Series 353, which featured a body style similar to that of a sedan.

It had a 6-cylinder engine and a maximum payload capacity of 1 ton. This model was only produced for 3 years before being replaced by the Series 355 in 1937. The Series 355 had an improved 8-cylinder engine and a maximum payload capacity of 1 ½ tons.

In 1941, Cadillac released its first all-steel pickup truck with 4 wheel drive capabilities – the Series 58 V8 Pickup Truck. This model featured an optional 4 wheel drive system and had improved suspension and brakes compared to previous models. It was also available with either an 8 or 10 cylinder engine and could carry up to 3 tons of cargo in its bed.

Cadillac stopped production of their pickup trucks in 1948 due to increasing competition from other automakers such as Ford, Chevrolet, and Dodge who were all producing more advanced models at lower prices than Cadillac’s trucks could offer at that time.

Conclusion:

Cadillac made its first pickup truck in the mid-1920s with the release of the Series 314 truck, followed by passenger pickups starting with the 1934 Series 353 model. The last Cadillac pickup truck was released in 1948 before they stopped production due to increasing competition from other automakers.
